SAN MARCOS, Calif. (KGTV) -- Two people were injured after the driver of a Prius slid down the side of a hill in San Marcos Sunday morning.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened around 9:20 a.m. at San Elijo Road and Schoolhouse Way.
The department says an 84-year-old driver was traveling too fast when he tried to make a turn, hit a curb, and slid down the hill.
Both the driver and a 77-year-old female passenger were taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, the department says.
